THE BRIEF

Hobbies have the capability of transforming into art and if nurtured can become the idea of a life time. A motivated man with a passion for cooking started his journey of discovery by combining favored flavors and creating delectable cookies. By the joining of premium ingredients with pure passion did the the growth of BakingGeek shine through their Social Media Platforms.

THE CHALLENGE

And what is life without a good challenge.

The genius behind BakingGeek set heart on advertising his own persona on the BakingGeek identity. The challenge however was the persuasion of a new and improved logo to the owner, which was simple yet powerful and portrayed all the subliminal meaning while staying true to his geeky vision by the use of the glasses logo. It all came down to how the users perceived the brand and it’s message. The construction of the logo was heavily inspired by two aspects which was the geeky nature of the owner’s persona as well as the bitten shape of the cookie.

In order for us to have the freedom to explore our imagination and come up with many creative ideas, we start by sketching the initial design, which is the first step to take when we want to start working on a project, It gives us a sense of direction that we are going to take to end up with a brilliant design.

Idea Elements

Staying true to the vision of the owner, the elements of glasses in addition to a bitten cookie were used in order to build the final Logo.

Choosing the Font

Config Rounded was found best suited for the image of BakingGeek. Having a font that persuades the idea of friendliness while conveying the curve of a cookie is the best way to portray BakingGeek's information.
LOGO COLORS:

The logo was created in black and white. The reasoning behind this was having a different play on traditional dessert’s colors; the color black is commonly known as the combination of all the colors which allows for play with different themes and schemes.
